The 1st year is supposed to be paper so I made Manny a wedding book, which of course he loved. What guy wouldn't love looking at pictures of one of the happiest days of his life, preserved forever in a yearbook style album? So manly... Keeping the paper theme in mind, Manny got me a gift certificate to a GREAT spa. He knows me so well. Grandpa Bob babysat Wesley for us while we went on our first baby free night! We headed down to Carmel, listening to our wedding CD - Manny's idea. He is a thoughtful guy. We ended up getting stuck in the worst traffic! It took 3 hours to get there when it should have taken 1. Turns out there was a pretty big fire next to the free way. Our slow crawl allowed me to take plenty of pictures. Once we got to Carmel, we had a great time! It really is such a cute little town. Both of us worried way too much about Wesley but luckily Grandpa kept sending us picture updates of their play date. Once we got home, I FINALLY got to use my forgotten wedding cake topper! Frozen, year old cake wasn't too bad. All in all, a great anniversary.
